Project Background & Industry Pain Points
Spherical ball valve components bring unique challenges to hardfacing operations. Conventional welding solutions struggle to deliver consistent cladding thickness across curved spherical surfaces. Arc-stop imperfections frequently occur during the welding cycle, resulting in high reject rates and unstable component quality in mass-volume production.
To overcome these well-known manufacturing bottlenecks, FITco has developed a proprietary intelligent adaptive surfacing program dedicated to ball valve outer surfaces.
The system automatically calculates optimal arc-termination angles. It dynamically adjusts welding travel speed in real-time according to spherical surface position. This adaptive control reliably maintains standardized cladding thickness over the entire ball surface. The program boosts processing efficiency while effectively lowering defect rates.
This intelligent surfacing algorithm has been deployed and validated at global customer sites: ✅ CAMTECH (Dubai) ✅ Jianhu County Baijinlong Welding Co., Ltd.
