Compact Vertical Cladding Station Successfully Installed and Trained in Doha, Qatar

On December 8th, 2025, our team successfully completed the installation, commissioning and training of one compact vertical cladding station for a new client in Doha, Qatar. Adhering to the service philosophy of "customer-centricity and professional excellence", our team efficiently responded to the client’s special needs and delivered a comprehensive after-sales training service, winning high recognition from the client.

Proactive Response to Special Needs, Customized Solution Delivery

As the client plans to extensively use intersecting line valve bodies in future projects, they attach great importance to pipe penetration welding. Having owned a number of Fronius cladding equipment, the client is familiar with the pipe penetration welding function of Fronius equipment and thus required that the cladding equipment purchased from us should be user-friendly to fit the welders’ operating habits, with pipe penetration welding performance as close as possible to that of Fronius equipment.

To meet this demand, our technical team made targeted adjustments to the equipment. The standard pipe penetration welding function of our cladding equipment requires contact arc initiation for closed-hole welding. Based on the on-site actual needs, we modified the system to realize non-contact arc initiation, perfectly matching the client’s operating habits and effectively solving their core concerns.

Efficient Installation & Comprehensive Training, Demonstrating Professionalism

Our team arrived at the client’s base on the noon of the 26th. After inspecting the equipment appearance and confirming the specific installation details, we promptly launched the installation work. The installation was completed smoothly by noon of the 27th, and arc ignition testing was carried out in the afternoon, showcasing our efficient on-site execution capability.

Focusing on the client’s urgent demand for pipe penetration welding of valve bodies, our team prioritized this process in the training and conducted in-depth and detailed guidance, covering multiple welding scenarios to ensure the client’s operators fully mastered the equipment.

Pipe Penetration Welding Training for Valve Bodies

The training targeted 78mm-diameter pipe penetration valve bodies, with a vertical depth of 380mm, a step outer diameter of 121mm and an inner diameter of 78mm. The client required welding on the step part and intersecting line part with a welding thickness of over 6mm. Our trainer first demonstrated the reverse pipe penetration welding on one end, then guided the trainee to practice welding the other end. During the operation, our trainer provided real-time solutions to the problems raised by the trainee and shared key precautions and welding skills. During the training, the client proposed optimizing the welding process to achieve non-contact arc initiation for closed holes in line with welders’ habits after comparing with on-site Fronius equipment. Our team promptly adjusted the program again to meet the demand. After the program update, the client verified the reliability by conducting repeated welding tests on multiple pipe penetration valve bodies, and the equipment performed stably.

Flat and Pipe Wall Welding Training

For flat workpiece welding, the client had basic requirements, and the trainee mastered the skills quickly. For pipe wall welding, the client required welding 38mm-diameter pipe walls. Our team conducted feasibility tests with D38 welding torches on-site, which met the client’s needs, and the trainee gained proficiency rapidly.

Tapered Pipe Welding Training

The client had minimal requirements for this process. With simple and easy-to-operate welding parameters, the trainee successfully mastered the basic welding skills.

Fixed-Angle Welding Training

The welding parameter setting was simple and intuitive. The trainee quickly grasped the skills and achieved satisfactory welding results.
